ASKLARRY BACKUPS
Privacy policy
Effective November 3, 2026
This policy describes how AskLarry.us handles information for AskLarry Backups, including the Google account connection used to store encrypted server backups in Google Drive.
Information we handle
- Google account information: account identifier, email address, and account profile information returned with the identity permissions you authorize.
- Authorization credentials: access and refresh tokens, granted permissions, and connection timestamps. These allow the service to access Drive after you grant permission. We do not receive your Google password.
- Backup information: encrypted server archives, archive filenames and identifiers, sizes, timestamps, checksums, and verification results. An archive may contain files, database exports, and configuration selected for backup by the operator.
- Operational records: connection and job status, errors, and information needed to diagnose failures and control authorized access.
How information is used
We use Google account information to identify the authorized backup account. Tokens enable scheduled uploads, listing, downloads, integrity verification, and retention of backup archives. Operational records support troubleshooting, service reliability, and access control.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Connecting a backup account does not authorize an AI assistant to browse that account’s Drive contents.
Storage, protection, and access
Google connection credentials are stored on the AskLarry server. Connection records are encrypted at rest; credentials used by the backup client are protected in its encrypted configuration. Backup archives are encrypted before they are uploaded to Drive.
AskLarry administrators operate and troubleshoot the backup service. Google processes data under its own policies when storing archives or providing account authorization. Infrastructure providers process information needed to host and deliver the service. Access and disclosure are limited to service operation, your instructions, or applicable legal requirements.
Retention and deletion
Connection credentials are retained while the connection is in use. Backup archives follow the operator’s configured retention settings. Operational records and recovery copies may remain until their applicable retention cycle ends.
You can revoke Google access at Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not automatically delete archives already in Drive or records on the AskLarry server. To request disconnection or deletion of stored account information, contact the address below. Backup archives can also be removed from the owning Drive account, subject to the organization’s retention requirements.
Google API Limited Use
AskLarry Backups’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
